Safari Gravel Race & MGR Double
June 13th - June 15th
SAFARI GRAVEL RACE
Safari will be 120km with approximately 1200m of climbing.
For those of you interested in a “warm-up” event before the big show, join us at the UCI Gravel World Series Qualifying race in Kenya.
Safari Gravel Race in and around Hell’s Gate National Park (where the Lion King was set) in Naivasha Kenya (just an hour and half from Nairobi).
For 2025, all MGR participants will have the opportunity to register for both events at the same time. For Safari there are a few different accommodation packages including basic tent camping(the same as what will be experienced at MGR) or 3 star hotel accommodation.
It’s also on the way to the Mara – so a nice way to acclimate yourself to the altitude without too much added logistical faff.

13:00 Arrive at MGR Basecamp in the Maasai Mara.

Drop off at Holiday Inn Two Rivers at 1830hr (approx.)The earliest possible flight out would be 21st of June at 2200hrs (this will be tight but it is possible) However play it safe and leave later, a lot can happen on the roads.
